Vernacular to Virtual Reality based Adaptive Architecture

  • Virtual Reality can be a revolutionary factor in the development of Architecture. This includes Mixed Reality and Augmented Reality and thus it may be a key factor in retrofitting or developing on new concepts to an existing thought process.
  • Vernacular to Virtual Reality based Adaptive Architecture incorporates both digital technology and new thinking in a sustainable manner to showcase the unique identity of every Architectural Design.

Human civilization has evolved and is in its continuation through integration with the ambient environment that depends on preservation of nature. Every place and region, all over the globe, has developed unique characteristics that distinguish it from others due to the multifarious interaction of evolution and human adaptability to the surroundings that defines it’s identity.

Perseverance of maintaining the identity requires proper understanding of nature and immersion into the cultural responses to the environmental assets and liabilities and it contains the essence of sustain-ability. Sustainability, being a fundamental part of cultural resources and preservation of cultural identity are complementary to each other. Sustainable design is integral to vernacular architecture that is evolved over a period of time using the local materials and technology which by carrying the local identity defines the optimum relationships between people and their place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both are remarkably important and unique of their own. One brings the imagination and concepts on to paper and models while other is an expert who can transform that model into real structure.

Architects take care of the beauty and functionality of a structure while Engineers take care of the strength and safety aspects.

Architecture is a specialized education where you are trained to design an imagination of owner , with best use of space, functional, useful, economical  visually pleasing and functionally efficient design for human use. Engineers on the other hand incorporate these spaces with security, structural properties and technology based formation of the project.

An architect’s design is of no use unless coming into reality and an engineer is helpless in absence of the Design and concept. The futuristic imagination needs an architect and the present construction of the imagination needs an engineer.

To sum up; both make equally challenging and rewarding careers.

Placements in architecture are available from designing firms, consultants, productions firms, planning organizations, Development Authorities, PWD department, Builders, creative companies, IT companies, Housing board, TNCP, Forest departments, Banks etc
